The food here was really good and interesting. It was fusion but definitely leans more into the Indian side. The chilli cheese naan was fantastic but was almost like an entree itself and a little distracting to use with the butter chicken. I loved the fried chicken especially using the spicy mayo as a dipping sauce. Totally would recommend

We recently dined at Badmaash, an Indian fusion restaurant in Fairfax, LA, and had a decent experience overall. The service and ambiance were great—modern and inviting. Parking can be tricky, but if you’re lucky, you might snag a spot right in front of the restaurant.

Given the rave reviews, we were excited to try it out for dinner. We started with the Butter Chicken Samosa. While the flavor was good, the filling was quite dry, likely due to the frying and reheating process. The Papri Chaat, on the other hand, was simple yet delicious—definitely a highlight of the meal.

For the mains, we had the Rosemary Naan, Tandoor Roti, Punjabi Chole Curry, and Paneer Butter Masala. The Punjabi Chole had a nice, home-style feel, but the Paneer Butter Masala was quite typical, nothing that stood out from other Americanized Indian restaurants.

While Badmaash offers a unique fusion take on Indian cuisine, I wouldn’t call it authentic Indian food. It’s more of an Americanized version, which may appeal to some, but didn’t quite hit the mark for us. Overall, a decent experience, but not a must-try—you won’t miss much if you skip it.

Absolutely fantastic food!
Very balanced spices on the traditional Indian food such as the fried fish and pork curry. Loved the innovative poutine, chilli cheese naan. I was very pleasantly surprised by how tasty the broccolini was.

And to top it all the ParleG ice cream sandwich.
Highly recommended.

Was here on Sunday...came back again on Wednesday, what more do I need to say? Both times were at strange hours during the day so it was pretty quiet-as hard for me to believe they would ever be with as delicious as the food is. Id honestly expect a line around the block. We were quickly seated and our servers both times were incredibly attentive. Tried the Yogurt Puffs, Onion Fritters, one of each of the Samosas and Tikka Masala with Rosemary Naan.
I would absolutely recommend stopping by to treat yourself to the delicious food! You wont regret the decision.

Badmaash was so delicious. Whether you prefer traditional or modern takes on Indian cuisine, they knock it all out of the park. The Butter Chicken and freshly made Naan was perfect. The charred spicy broccolini from their fusion menu was also tasty. And the restaurant was extremely nice to provide us with a triad of desert options including an ice cream sandwich, coconut pudding and freshly made hot chai. Thank you to Mo & Alex for the excellent service. Can’t wait to return!

The food here was amazing! We started with the Maslaa potato fries which were like a 6/10. but then we had the Dahi Puri which was just amazing! The butter chicken samosa and cheese naan were all great, but then the butter chicken and south Indian fish curry had such an amazing taste with the rice. Then for dessert we had the kheer which was great too. I would give badmaash an 11/10, if you're craving indian food definitely come here.

Food was extremely average for the price. Rice is not included and 6 dollars extra just thought I’d share that for all to know. We dined in and the atmosphere was fine very modern and stylish, and the service was also adequate. But when it came down to the food it was not great. Wouldn’t come again but also wouldn’t say it’s horrible. Give it a visit if you want to try it for the fad or whatever, but don’t expect some really great food. It’s just alright.

Not usually an Indian food fan ( I haven’t had good experiences) but this place was really good. All the plates are very well balanced. The poutine was so good and the mussels are an absolute must have. Thanks to the staff who guided me on what to order and made sure I was happy with my food.
