Came here for dinner and a couple of beers. Ordered the Stuffed Shrimp and had a couple of Guinness beers. Food was excellent, atmosphere was great and service was great! Would definitely come back. I sat at the bar.

River Street can be full of tourist traps, but this isn't one of them. There are great cocktail choices if you just want to stop in for a drink. You really feel the history when you are in this place. Of course I had to try the she crab soup and it was very good. The bacon wrapped shrimp was amazing but we didn't really care for the 'slaw' that it came with. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.

The steaks were cooked perfectly. I enjoyed the fact that my asparagus was crisp and not drowning in butter. The bread pudding was one of the best I've ever had; the creme anglaise really made that dish.
The ambience was suited to Savannah, old world charm with a hint of dark moodiness.

The sweet potato waffle fries were a bit over done and hard. Other than that we enjoyed our overall experience.

Our first dining experience here and it didn't disappoint. Actually this was our first visit to Savannah for a long weekend from closeby SC.

Located at the corner of River St and the Lincoln St Ramp, it is housed in an historic building. Looking to the ceiling one has to wonder of all the history that has passed through this and the building along the entire street. But I digress.

Upon entering we were gracefully greeted and guided to our table passing a bar on the right which was full of patrons. It seemed that they can also accommodate larger parties as we saw a group in a room off to the side. I suggest reservations as we did.

You can see the Savannah River through the windows. While we were there a container vessel passed on its way to far off ports.
The kitchen pass is in view and one can hear and see the well oiled team creating culinary works of art.

Our server was wonderful as was the staff that delivered our dinner selections to our table. She welcomed us and was very attentive throughout. We ordered a few drinks to celebrate the evening to start off.

Our dining experience consisted of the She Crab Soup and Mixed Greens Salad to start. This was followed by the Fried Shrimp and Breast of Chicken Picatta with Angel Hair. Presentation was superb.

Dessert was very different yet very delightful. We ordered the Savannah Trifle. The coffee with dessert was fresh and a perfect combination.

It was a very delightful experience. We shall be back during our next visit the Savannah.

Wife and I stopped for lunch and we can say it was a good choice. We both enjoyed the grilled chicken sandwich and it was no problem making a few changes and substitutions for our order. Our server, Alyssa was so friendly, bubbly and personable that it made our dining experience even better. The mojito and alcoholic expresso drinks we shared may have helped as well. Overall, I would say give it a try.

Sorry for no pics of our food as we both were so hungry we were not thinking of that at the time. ?

There was a hostess standing outside, I don’t know if they’re there to greet or taking a break. But if they’re there to greet, I didn’t get any greetings. On the other hand, the waiter was absolutely generous, kind and he knows the menu. She crab soup was too thick to my liking, I don’t know if it’s the same as other places. But flavor is rich and you can taste the crab and some chunks of it too. The oyster Rockefeller was served warmed to my liking but there was too much cheese on top. It took the flavor of oysters away. It tasted a little better with lime juices on it. The fried fish sandwich was also served warmed to my liking along with crispy fries. The fish was golden brown and crispy on the outside and still juicy inside. I love the sauce that went along with it. The beef bacon burger was absolutely delicious with the moist beef patty and crispy bacon along with the delicious sauce.

For me, it was too rich, lol, but it was decadent! I had the Stuffed Shrimp & Angel Hair pasta.

Stopped here for a quickie before continuing my tourist extravaganza. The clam soup was delicious. Maybe it was crab soup. I have no idea but it was delicious. Cold beer. Barkeep was a delightful old hag. Great view from the patio.
