Could not be more disappointed in this specific location. Paid $355 to drive a 10ft truck and a trailer from Dallas to Houston. They offered to assist me with hooking up my personal car to the trailer and I accepted. I was not told until later that this would be an additional $22 charge even though they presented the offer as if it were free. While I am paying for this service (THIS SHOULD BE COMPLIMENTARY) the employee who is supposed to help me explains that $20 is not "worth the risk" for him possibly scratching my car so he isn't going to help me. He then explains that it will be very easy for me to do it myself, even though he just said it was too risky for him, a professional. I eventually get on the road to Houston and I realize there is no cold air in this truck. September heat in Texas and they give me a truck blowing hot air for a 4 hour drive. As I'm driving and sweating profusely, I realize the trailer has a flat tire. When I pull over to check it I realize the tire is ancient and completely bald. Obviously anyone would be frustrated, regardless of if the customer is supposed to check it or not, why are you selling old and broken equipment? Do U-Haul employees ever check any of their equipment? If so, why didn't they catch that the tire was extremely old and replace it? But the expectation is that customers literally perform the employees job for them. I decided to call the establishment and try to explain my frustration. The woman who answered wasted no time blaming me. She immediately said it was my fault for not catching the old tire even though neither her nor any other employee in the entire company caught this mistake. She didn't address the lack of cold air at all. I'm assuming it was because she couldn't blame that on me. I'm currently waiting at a gas station in the middle of no where for a roadside assistance because U-Haul doesn't give you a spare with your extremely old tires. If any other company sold you a broken product, you would be given and apology and a refund. But instead at U-Haul, they blame you and then charge you extra because you needed help in the first place. What a terrible terrible terrible company. Just an awful way to do business. Never ever recommend you go to this location.

Avoid This U-Haul Location at All Costs!

I had an absolutely horrendous experience at the U-Haul location managed by Michael Daniels. From start to finish, it was a nightmare. The staff, especially Michael Daniels, were extremely unprofessional and seemed to have no interest in customer service whatsoever.

Upon arrival, I asked for assistance in unloading my car from the trailer. To my utter disbelief, the staff flatly refused to help me. Despite explaining my situation and clearly needing help, they were indifferent and dismissive. Michael Daniels, the so-called general manager, was the worst of them all. He couldn’t be bothered to assist me and seemed perfectly content to leave me stranded at his store.

In desperation, I had to call U-Haul corporate to force them to provide the assistance that should have been readily available. Only after involving corporate did I receive the help I needed, but by then, my frustration had peaked.

Michael Daniels' behavior was not only unprofessional but downright disrespectful. It's clear that he prioritizes his convenience over customer service. Avoid this location if you value your time and sanity. The lack of professionalism and basic decency is appalling. This experience has definitely made me reconsider ever using U-Haul again.

Honestly, the staff was unprofessional, took a very long time to get us a truck. The truck was filthy inside with garbage. I used the truck for 2hr and returned it with way more gas than when I picked it up and before closing at 7:00pm. They proceeded to charge my card an additional $110 for a 3-day rental and gas. I called and after an hour on hold and talking to a Rep, she said I need to call an 800 number. Just a simple 10' truck for 2 hours and they managed to mess it up in every way possible - very poor experience.

I reserved a car carrier several days before my scheduled trip. I was told that they would have one there and ready. On the morning that I was scheduled to pick the trailer up, I received another email (not a phone call) telling me that I had to go to a different location to pick up my reserved trailer. When I arrived the U-Haul place had no idea I was coming and they did not have a trailer ready. The one they had was out of service needing a repair. So they sent me to another location. This time the trailer they attempted to give me had a broken strap which I found before departing the dealership. So we had to unhook and find another one. When I arrived at my drop off location the business was closed when I arrived. No one told me this location was closed on Fridays. I called the number and left a message but no one returned my call. After speaking with two U-Haul reps I finally spoke to someone who said I could just leave this trailer here. I took numerous pictures to prove that there was no damage to the trailer and it was on location. Very poor service. Shouldn’t even receive 1 Star rating.

Truck was not safe to drive, they gave me a truck in terrible condition with ABS light on. Then they switched me to an even worse truck with a check engine light on. The steering was so loose I couldn't keep the truck in the lane on the highway. Then when trying to drive the speed limit on the highway the entire front of the truck would start shaking so hard you would think the truck was going to shake apart.

I had an absolutely terrible experience and I need to warn EVERYBODY about it. Please DO NOT rent from this location as long as MICHEAL DANIELS AND HIS TWO chicks with the green eye lashes are working there. They tried to scam me out of $200 for a deposit, even though I have rented from this company numerous times and have never had to pay a deposit, which is all on file. After I spoke with customer service about it, he then told her $300 for an out of town license to use a cargo 15’ Truck, which is ridiculous.I then had my sister to come and rent the truck for me as she has an Texas license just to be told there are people reserved before me which my reservation was 12:30 and I was standing in the lobby at12:30
I am not blaming this company as a whole, but this specific location and these specific workers are definitely scamming their customers. This issue needs to be addressed and resolved immediately. The inconsistency & rude behavior is not good for business at all!

WORST EXPERIENCE!! NIKKI the “manager” hung up on me mid conversation. I tried getting a hold for her 2-3 times but she never followed up and does not read her emails. So where do I begin. U-HAUL DID NOT DELIVER my BOX as promised.NEEDED MY STUFF TRANSFERRED about 15 miles to Dallas and THIS LOCATION WILL TAKE 2 DAYS VS WHAT IS advertised 24 HOURS!!! Avoid this LOCATION. LAZY EMPLOYEES AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. SMDH
